5 Interior Trends To Know For 2020

I know many designers and design lovers do not like to go by the current in product or trend, but love em or hate em there is no escaping them. Everything designed in interiors and your home has been influenced by a trend either directly or indirectly. Also, trends are repeated all the time. So you could already have some of the 2020 trendy products in your home!

Anyways I always think it's a fun thing to look at and research so I have listed my 5 favourite interior trends for 2020 below!

Enjoy xx

1.BYE GREY HELLO TO THE BEAUTIFUL BLUES

Its true grey is so very very gone! Now that ain't to say a nice grey accent or even grey wall isn't going to shine through in beautiful interiors, but the grey on grey or the greyish layered interiors has had their moment. Now let's move on... This year is all about colour and more of it. So with grey being out and Pantone selecting Classic Blue as the colour of the year will blue be the new grey?

PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue

Instilling calm, confidence, and connection, this enduring blue hue highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.

2. STILL LOVING PINK & FEMININE INTERIORS

My 10-year old self is screaming with excitement inside! Pink is very very on-trend for 2020 but there are a few rules. Anything that looks like barbie pink (major sad face) is actually out! Look for blush tones (a fave of mine) or more muted pinks and keep your finishes matt to avoid that barbie look.

3. ANIMAL PRINTS

Say What! Okay, this really is my trends year! I am sooo obsessed with animal prints especially in fashion and now they are set to be a huge player in interiors for 2020.

Now just like our outfits we never want to go overboard with the leopard or zebra print. So start small with cushions & accessories. If you LOVE them maybe move onto the rug or curtains.

4. CURVED SOFAS

Curved, sculptural furniture, especially when it comes to upholstery has made a huge comeback. Look for these in gorgeous rich velvets to give this style an instant elegance. Check out a few of my faves below all from the high streets...

5. VELVET

So this is already quite a big trend but it aint moving. Just think a large velvet sofa in royal blue or a rich green... Pure luxury.
